Wide open spaces became a part of life if it was Lake Michigan
in the winter, the fields and woods of my Grandparents farm in Arkansas, the
North Fork in Montana or Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado. Texas may have it in the western part of the
state, but here in central Denton County, not so much. A lot of singers have
written songs about Texas but if it wasn’t for my kids, I would be happy with
seeing it in my rear view mirror. God bless Texas but I am just passing
